This is the second round of “Best Memes about AI”. My last was about a year ago and can be found here.
I like memes and find them useful because, in addition to making us laugh, they point to some truth (or at least a belief or fear) we all share. And they are “memetic” in the sense they capture an idea and then, if they are good, they are widely shared. I use them in my teaching all the time.
Interesting, per Wired, memes themselves may change with AI, as they are turned from still pictures into video. I imagine in the future we will be making short videos that may replace memes.
For now, though, we’ve got still ones. Below I’ve marked the ones I’ve made below the meme with ^Original^. Feel free to share any or all of them.
Enjoy!

The meme below is based on a quote from Zvi Mowshowitz, who said,
“If you want to learn, AI will be great at helping you learn. If you want to avoid learning? AI is happy to help with that too.”

This one is a riff on Ethan Mollick’s notion of a Secret Cyborg, all the people in organizations who are not supposing to be using AI in their jobs but they are.

Hope you enjoyed the memes!
Thanks for this! I taught your previous post last semester and I'll use this one as well this semester in a rhetoric class with an AI theme.
